Shivani Carriers increased their visibility by 20% with Fleetx

Shivani Carriers is a logistics company founded by Piyush Laddha based out of Indore, MP with a presence in more than 10 states. They work with several FMCG, Steel and Cement, Automobile and Manufacturing companies and provide them transportation and warehousing services using their fleet and hiring trucks from the market as well. Before Fleetx Shivani Carriers relied completely on excel and WhatsApp for their data. As their Fleet was growing it became difficult for them to manage their fleet effectively by these means. Also monitoring driver behaviour was a challenge, there was no data available on how the drivers were behaving on road, hence it was difficult to give any correctional feedback that could help train the drivers. With Fleetx’s feature of creating jobs and real-time monitoring of vehicles, there was no longer any need for WhatsApp or excel sheets and saw an increase in their visibility by 20% and an average increase in vehicles running by 7%. No real time visibility and heavy reliance on excel and whatsApp

Before using Fleetx, Shivani Carriers heavily relied on WhatsApp and Excell Sheets. Though world-leading solutions in their own right they were never meant to handle the complex operations of a logistics company. There was no real-time visibility, as the only means of knowing the driver’s location was WhatsApp. And creating and assigning jobs on an Excell sheet is a tedious manual process that is prone to manual errors and in logistics operations, even the slightest manual error can cause heavy losses. As the company grew bigger so did the above problems that they were facing.

Realising that their problems were not going to solve themselves, Piyush opened up a conversation with Fleetx. We explained how automatic jobs assigning can help you reduce operational time by eliminating manual work and how real-time visibility will help him keep a constant track of his vehicles without ever having to leave his dashboard screen.

Piyush later stated that real-time tracking of drivers from the loading point to the unloading point on a real-time basis has helped them increase their overall vehicle running by at least 7% and that is due to a 20% increase in visibility. No data to monitor Driver Behaviour and give feedbacks

As we were explaining to Piyush about real-time tracking and the automatic job we came across another area of the problem. There was no data to monitor Driver Behaviour, due to which it was almost impossible to give feedback to drivers for improvement on their driving. Accidents cause losses of valuable goods and life, and one of the major causes of accidents is overspending or hard accelerations.

How Fleetx helped

To solve this we introduce Piyush to our Driver behaviour reports feature. Through this feature, he could get complete reports on driving patterns of his drivers and also add incentivization on certain driving parameters. Now with complete data on how Drivers were behaving it became easy to give them feedback.

We also showed Piyush how to set alerts in our system, so if any driver crosses a certain speed limit he can be alerted. Piyush has recently stated that using different System Alerts and various driver behaviour reports like speed stratification reports, he has been able to reduce overspending in the speed limit of over 60 kmph by 30% within 2 months.
